AIREE’s Elevate Small Towns initiative is designed to address the interconnected challenges of economic revitalization, housing access, skilled trades, and technological integration across small towns in the Southern and Southeastern United States.

These towns—many of which hold deep historical and cultural significance—have long served as the backbone of America’s agricultural, industrial, and civil rights heritage. Yet despite their contributions, they often face declining populations, aging infrastructure, limited employment opportunities, and a lack of investment. Elevate Small Towns was created to change that narrative.

 

Our Mission: Build Futures Through Innovation, Skills, and Ownership

With the support of corporate partners, philanthropic donors, local leaders, and community residents, our mission is to transform overlooked towns into vibrant, self-sustaining centers of opportunity. By investing in real estate, technology, entrepreneurship, and education, we aim to create long-term pathways to prosperity and equity.

Our Vision Includes:

• Revitalizing historic districts and housing stock to preserve local heritage while creating modern, affordable living spaces

• Delivering tech-integrated workforce training for Gen Y and Z in real estate, construction, renewable energy, smart infrastructure, and skilled trades

• Creating small business incubators and co-working hubs, equipped with high-speed internet, 3D printing tools, and digital business tools to fuel innovation and entrepreneurship

• Leveraging technology in housing development through modular construction, drone-assisted surveying, and virtual planning platforms

• Promoting homeownership and wealth-building through financial literacy, credit repair, digital real estate education, and down payment assistance
